Disk Encryption WILL inevitably cause a hardware defect. #282

I was not able to find a GRUB repository, so I'm posting the issue here.

A while back, I set up Elementary on a spare laptop that was in a house that we're not at all the time. Unfortunately, you guys set a rather large oversight when designing the disk decryption screen (where you have the Elementary logo and the user enters their password).

The OS asks the user for the password, but never halts or goes to sleep if there's no input. Due to a power surge in the house while we weren't there, the laptop booted up and was stuck on that screen for days. When we got to it, the Elementary logo left a permanent screen burn in on the laptop, forever reminding us of the beauty of the operating system.

I really like open source software, but these oversights clearly show that someone is designing something without potential issues in mind. Compare it to Windows's BitLocker, the device will halt if it doesn't get a pin within a few minutes. Whilst I'm not sure whether I'll install Windows now, it certainly won't be Elementary.
