Text in Terminal, Files does not refresh while desktop is zoomed in #349

What Happened?

In elementary OS 7.1, while the desktop is zoomed in, text in Terminal and also Files (and possibly other apps as well) does not refresh until the mouse is moved.

This is scene on at least 2 different computers, a PC and a laptop, both with Intel graphics.

Not sure this is most relevant to Gala or Granite (or something else).

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open a Terminal window
  2. Zoom in (default shortcut: Mod4+Plus) and move the mouse such that the text cursor is within the zoom region
  3. Type something

Expected Behavior

The text area in the Terminal window looks frozen until the mouse cursor is moved, expected the entered text to appear normally as it is being typed.

Latest release (I have run all updates)

Typical fresh installation of elementary OS 7.1.

I think the idea of the triage project is that the relevant developers will move it themselves when they claim it, so I should leave it. I might be wrong.
