Hi @luispedrogithub
Currently, this feature is not supported, but we will look into it in the future if we see a large demand for it.
Thanks for the feedback.
I was actually amazed this wasn't working, though with the introduction of the Dynamic fields that this would be a breeze to do as well with the pop-ups especially so that we can really customise the pop-ups on specific data from the user/site.
So really highly suggested IMO!
I'd also REALLY like to see this implemented - to be able to create a popup with dynamic fields and then not to simply be able to invoke it to show that data seems like a missed opportunity. Linking to a post, but in a popup template. PLEASE can we have this? 👍
+1 Really like to have this.
+1 For such option. I have searched web for plugins but haven't found anything suitable. What I expect is new template type 'Lightbox' (similar to Pop-up) but with option to put custom link on different elements which opens chosen post in lightbox using the layout from template. For example, I have Custom post type 'Before and after' which has an image and some custom fields with meta-data. I want to create a grid with images from posts of this custom type. When user clicks on image I want it to open in lightbox with image, post title and few metadata fields under an image. And to have arrows available to switch from previous post to next one.
+1 I'd like to associate (via a Pods Field) a video, audio, and image with each post. Each asset would have a button that would launch the respective asset in a modal/lightbox. So I guess throw in a request for a button bar similar to what Ultimate Addons has -- except with icons as buttons (e.g. youtube, soundcloud, etc). Thanks!
+1! This would be handy to replicate something like Amazons 'Quick look' feature.
This is marked as closed. Not good. +1 for this as the amount of different things we can do with this could be incredible.
@normundslauva, check out the Media Grid plugin and its Overlay Manager add-on. Has some rudimentary Elementor support as well, but should more or less do what you're asking -- just not in a programmatic way. I've bent and stretched it using Pods, but it's still not as clean as it could be.
Thank you @rrodkin, seems promising!
Hi. There is quite a lot of people already interested in this feature, some of them like me, very surprised that this is not implemented from the beginning. I believe you can make this work in a very early stage by simply sending parameters like variables (ex: strings) or objects (ex: current_post if we’re in a single post or selected_post if we’re in an archive view) when invoking the popup like [field_name=“value”] and later implement the ability to use custom fields.
Hope you get the picture and make this possible ;) and thank you for your hard work, looking forward to see what’s coming next!
Kind regards. Luis Pedro Ferreira

I would really love to see this happen too. I was just trying to do something like this now and arrived on this page. +2 for me 😄
I am looking for this feature, as well. And I see that the searches show this question asked in all possible combinations. I mention it because in your reply to the closed tickets you stated that you will do so if there is demand... So yes, there is. Only very few people actually get HERE to ask. And even so - there is quite a number right here! Thank you.
Its been a while any update on this feature?

I definitely think Elementor Pro should include this.
Crocoblock's JetEngine and JetPopUp allow you to do this with ACF fields. I'd probably prefer to do this with default Elementor Pro, but set up dynamic popups all the time with Crocoblock as it stands.

@shilo-ey, just out of curiosity: how would you quantify the “large enough demand”? 40 people now and still not enough to reopen?
+1 Please allow us this feature! Thanks.
Why is this issue closed? Wouldn't it suppose to be open and tagged properly so new feature requests can be tracked properly?
This is a clear need a lot of people showed interest here... Please properly manage your feature requests from the community.
