Rework use of bloodlines in combat #119

What?

We're all familiar with how bloodlines currently work: passive boosts to your stats with a handful of abilities. But have other possibilities been explored? What if there was a way to make the use of bloodline more a strategic choice rather than something passive.

In short and in simple terms, toggle it on and off. This is NOT the same as "release" command on WoB - no turns spent.

Choose the best time to activate your bloodline, as well as to use your bloodline jutsus.

Why?

How?

I derped, I was too sleepy and forgot to loop the first two gifs. Sorry. Please open them in imgur and Ctrl F5 it. :(

There may be some details I haven't thought about far enough.

A concern was raised by 1300:

"I was just wondering how that would tie in Bl vs Bl, seems like everyone would just use all their initial turns using all of their boosts"

While I haven't thought of the exact number of maximum charges, they could be tied as requirement for using higher level jutsu. So the higher the rank of the jutsu you want to use, the more charges you need. Say genin-chuunin 1 charge, jounin 2 charges, sennin 3 charges.

In my opinion it would also require 1-2 rounds before there is enough of the bloodline bar charged to toggle passives as active for that turn. It wouldn't be available straight off the bat. This may conflict with the optimal duration of PVP battles (6 rounds? 10?).

Other ideas also welcome.

Ooh this is an interesting idea. I will revisit this in a couple weeks when I start planning bloodline overhaul and discuss further

Wouldnt this also hinder certain bloodlines that do not have passives? but then again that also is a decision the player made when they rolled that bl so i guess it isnt too bad. The idea is very interesting and could serve well in combat play making potential.
