Consider Making NoSleep Require Another Click to Turn Off

A single click on the menubar icon is all it takes to turn NoSleep on or off. 
While this is convenient, is dangerous. There have been times that I intended 
to click the menubar icon next to NoSleep, but missed and hit NoSleep instead. 
The machine instantly shuts off, and I have to wait until I return home to open 
the lid and wake the machine back up.

Would you consider making it just one click more to turn NoSleep off? Either by 
adding a Turn NoSleep On/Off item to the drop down (and making a click on the 
menubar icon activate the drop down like most icons do, rather than 
right-click), or at least by popping up a confirmation dialog when turning it 
off?

I have exactly this same problem.  I have a remote machine in a difficult to 
access location and if I accidently click the menubar icon, the connection is 
immediately lost and I need to physically go to the machine (later) to 
re-establish a connection.

Making a click on the menu bar and/or a confirmation dialog would be GREAT!  
Now I just have to be really careful.  I'm looking into if I can run just the 
command line option and no menubar icon.

Hello everyone,

In your situation I would recommend just not to use a menu bar application 
(close it and turn autostart option off) and use System Preferences and command 
line utility.

I don't see how it could be handled in a right way - I personally don't like 
the confirmation dialog, maybe a double click...

What do you think if a double click solution will be good?

What about menu available on single click with enable/disable item in it? This 
is how it's seems to be generally handled in many other Mac OS X menu bar 
icons, including e.g. Wi-Fi ("Turn Wi-Fi Off").

I see how this change to a drop-down menu came about. I'm not a fan - the 
on-click was a great way to turn a simple app on and off.

Yeah, got used to one-click. Worked great for me. Especially because I use 
Caffeine too to disable sleep timer often. So I already have to do two clicks.

Suggestion: Make one-click optional. Something like
"Click on menubar icon
[X] toggles NoSleep 
[ ] shows NoSleep menu".

Best solution for all users and all needs.
