[Request} Use different torrent engine #233

I have transmission running over split tunnel, with a kill switch. Id like to request that we have the option to use a different torrent server instead of the built in one. Sickrage and Couchpotato have this option already. I don't know if its possible to use have elementum send the torrent to transmission then play it back. Having it playback this way is a much safer way due to the kill switch if the vpn disconnects.

The other option would be to have elementum use a different user. My setup has two users. USER1 runs kodi with its addons, USER2 runs openvpn along with transmission and allow split tunnel for safer torrents. Is there anyway to make the elementum addon to use USER2 instead of USER1? Not possible. Plugin is linked with Kodi and torrent engine.

Ok a workaround would be to allow the torrent to be picked on the client and run on the server instead. At the moment its no possible to pick on the client only the server. Any plans to implement such a feature?

There are enough plugins that use external torrent engines. You can use any.
