GPS is working fine for me in R4. You may have issues with the Antenna itself.
See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1318892 on how to fix it.

Thanks for your reply but it was working fine before update and also with
another ROM (4.1)
I think the issue is related to this specific ROM, may I have the link where
you have downloaded the ROM.

Cheers

I do have the same issue with GPS. After I have changed the ROM, my GPS doesn't
work. :-(

Do you see the GPS notification flashing in the notification bar?
>> I had this case when I was on R30. I had to flash the new radio (see
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877295 for details) to have
the GPS notification back.

Or are your not able to fix to a location?
>> If this is happening, use "GPS Test" to see if you are catching any sats. If
not, you may need to do the hardware hack mentioned in my comment above.

Same version, same issue for me earlier, i.e. no GPS at all not only unable to
get a GPS fix. I flashed new radio 12.69A.60.29U_26.17.14.11_M, and it works
now. GPS icon shows up in notification bar.

There is no GPS icon in the status bar. I will flash the radio listed above and
will inform you about the result.

Thanks in advance,
