error making Http api request

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. just launching bbrtm
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expected the app to launch, instead got the following message:

Error - bbrtm
org.emerick.trm.RTMException: 
Error making HTTP API Request

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
BB pearl
bbrtm 0.12

Please provide any additional information below.  Attach a screen shot if
possible.

Have you tried checking you APN settings?  You can view a list of settings here:
http://code.google.com/p/rtm4bb/wiki/APNSettings

APN settings work fine for other apps on my BB, eg. gmail/facebook/google maps 
etc
and aren't listed for my carrier (O2 uk) on this page
