High-level functionalities

List of high-level functions to be provided in an updated version:

• Xilinx Virtual Cable

• Intel Virtual Cable (is there such thing?)

• USB over IP access to the onboard USB ports,

• Web interface for control and status,

• HTTP API interface (all functions of web interface must be available with API),

• Power supply control and monitoring:

  • power switch, separate for P3V3_MP and P12V,
  • current monitoring and automatic shutdown for each power rail, levels set with software.

• Thermal management with two options:

  • IPMI temperature control loop for adjusting fan speed,
  • fixed fan speed, when IPMI is not operational on unreliable.
