Wow, it has much more features than hypothesis. Notes, tags, images, aria comments, colors for highlights. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to add to obsidian-annotator, because there are only two not super active maintainers behind the plugin. More tools, more complexity, more bugs and more work 😢
And if we replace hypothesis + pdf.js with Zotero reader, it'll break user's existing annotations.
I'm experimenting with different ways to integrate readers in obsidian plugins, because the current one we use feels too complex and too buggy. If I'll find an easy way to integrate stuff, I'll think about making a separate plugin with Zotero reader.
Anyone wants to start a crowdfund source bounty for this with me? I use zotero for research and it's usually wonderful, especially if with obsidian it can support LaTeX in annotations. Even more so would be close integration with zotero and stylus handwriting features.
In the meantime, https://github.com/PKM-er/obsidian-zotero
It is found that the ideal PDF reading tool comes from Zotero: https://www.zotero.org/support/pdf_reader https://github.com/zotero/pdf-reader It don't need to rely on online services, and the function design is excellent. can you consider the following?
