This was made with the help of some friends when we decided to play this game for a whole weekend
I think the weapons should be restructured to make them more simple and easy to understand, the current system is confusing and hard for newer players to understand. I will give stats that should be considered, but does not have to be added to the game. I take this based off of shooter games I have played and real world specifications as well. This one is gonna be a big suggestion lol
Knife
I think the damage should be buffed, since most of the time, you have to get close and you run the risk of getting sprayed if your opponent has a ranged weapon like a gun, so I am purposing a 2 hit kill since the knife already attacks really fast, this also means that the axe would not be needed and should be removed.
This also gives room for further content such as special knifes (it is a very far stretch, but one can dream) players can get once they get a amount of kills or whatever
Pistol
I think this weapon should be modeled after the K&M .45 Tactical. This is a lightweight gun that does good damage. Here are just some things I would change
Clip 10 rounds
Fast reload time, maybe 1.5 seconds
Fast movement with weapon, this is a lightweight gun.
Rifle
The name is kinda hard, because many weapons are classified as a "rifle", but in the sake to keep it simple, we are modeling this after the M4A1 it is a rifle that shoots kinda fast. This is the Machine gun in the current state of the game, so just rename the machine gun to rifle, also remove the automatic gun, since it is just not needed and confusing, no need to have two weapons that pretty much do the same.
Shotgun
It is good as it is, you nailed the execution and presentation of it, it is fun and good to use.
Sniper
I have mixed feelings, I like the railgun and the crossbow at the same time, but now that there are walls, they feel like the same, so scrape the crossbow, the fire rate is too overpowered, so we are going to base this off the railgun.
You can fire a round every 2 seconds
No crazy beam, the bullet is fast and you
7 round mag
1 shot kill
Penetrates walls that are decently thin, you make a call on this one
