whenever i import a texture from ambientcg it always looks nothing like what it looked like in the photo. ive tryed editing uv. but nothing works. also with textures from lily's surface scraper when i am rendering with cycles it deforms the model. also, whenever i try to uninstall it so i can get the new version it just gives me an error message and dosnt work. ive attached a photo of the texture not looking right, a picture of the deformation that occurs and a link to the texture i used as well as a screenshot of the error messages.

here is the link for the material i used https://ambientcg.com/view?id=Marble021

here is a screenshot of what it looks like Blender_ C__Users_Will_OneDrive_blender projects_sci-fi chair blend 10_16_2021 3_34_14 PM

and here is what it looks like when using cycles Blender_ C__Users_Will_OneDrive_blender projects_sci-fi chair blend 10_16_2021 3_36_39 PM

here is the error message i get when trying to uninstall it to get the new version Blender Preferences 10_16_2021 3_36_55 PM

please help me fix this since i really enjoyed the add-on when it was working.

Hello @MemePorg The discrepancy between what you get in Blender and what is on AmbientCG is due to the displacement factor. By default, LilySurfaceScraper uses a value of 0.2, in the case of this texture, a value of 0.001 is more appropriate:

AFAIK there is no way to know automatically what the correct value is, it is different for each texture.

About the uninstallation issue, you must first desactivate the add-on, then restart Blender to remove it (it works like this for any add-on that has a C/C++ part).
