RDC import only showing very small sections. #275

Providing the requested info below.

I have been using this add-on for several years, over multiple version, with quite a bit of success. This issue I cannot seem to fix on my own.

I tried every combination of versions above to sort this issue, The capture works fine, RenderDoc shows the capture as it should, the Blender import (when it works based on version compatibility) only produces one or a couple of blocks, always separated. I've tried multiple captures all with the same results. Please see attached screenshot for example of the problem.

Did I miss a setting? What am I doing wrong here? Because the issue seems to be across every version now. Please help!

I tried the capture process on another PC and it worked as it should. The RDC file captured on my main PC with the GeForce RTX 3080 ti failed on the other pc as well. I ran several diagnostics on my GPU and they all came back clean. As well as updated the drivers with the same results. Could it be a setting in Render Doc that is causing it to happen? A driver in my GPU that is incompatible? I'm unsure of what is causing the issue, however it seems to be localized to my machine. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the same issue. I can only import a single tile at a time. The .RDC files appear to be approximately same file size as previous exports.

@tyrertecture @Superfreak1000 I'm also having the same issue. Something changed between now and April 2023 because I didn't update any of the software or the add-on and I had this pipeline working then. Maybe some kind of operating system update messed it all up? I'm on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. I noticed that the RenderDoc application icon disappeared for me which seems to be something new:

I am also having this issue it occasionally will bring in full sections of tiles and other times just random sections or a capture that's missing all of the central tiles. I also similarly had it working in the past using older versions primarily Maps Model Importer 0.5.0 and Render Doc 1.9 which seemed very stable to me but its only started acting up recently. I am now using Render doc 1.25 and maps model importer 0.6.2 as outlined by @eliemichel in the documentation.

I believe it has something to do with the distance the captures are taken from as that seems to be the only thing that changes the outcomes where a distance of around 550 meters seems to work best but is still not optimal and the blocks that are missed change every time. I am unsure what this means but I know it isn't an issue with the "missing blocks" in the blender import settings as that doesn't change the outcomes at all. Beyond that the UI of Google Earth looks different? Maybe Google updated their API's or Google Earth in its own right, changing versions of blender, render doc, maps model importer and google chrome still have not made much changes and its hard to seemingly isolate the problematic application or step. Quite confused would be incredibly grateful for any guidance! Merci!

Here is an example of what I was trying to capture in the Google Earth View (600 M):

GoogleEarthView_TroubleShooting_600M

For me this must be something with Render doc, a graphics card issue, or that it's just not recognizing or extracting all the blocks in google earth itself? All my drivers are up to date for my graphics card however, and I know it can't be the version of Blender as it does the same thing in 3.4, 3.5, and 3.6. Sort of at a loss here this has become such and integral part of my architectural site analysis workflow any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Im going to try to go back to the original versions I had working back in April 2023 and fingers crossed that works, ill reach out if it does ofc, but also quite lost if that doesn't do anything. I still feel like if that doesn't though it must be an issue with google earth or google chrome maybe they've changed something? Idk

Ok I have tried going back and Render doc 1.9 doesn't open anymore which is odd, however I have reinstalled everything according to @eliemichel's Maps Models Importer v0.6.2 specifications (Blender 3.4, Renderdoc 1.25, and MMImporter 0.6.2), and am still suffering from similar accuracy issues.

ChromeView_TroubleShooting_550M

I still have a funny feeling that this has to do with google earth and render doc interacting with each other and is not an issue of MMImporter but I don't really know anyother software that reads .rdc files so I can't cancel out one or the other. The RDC file for the above capture is hosted here:
