First you must change the Amount variable type, you are using it as a String!!! Second You have to call the event actionPerformed on the submit button and inside it you have to call the method that calculates the result. To do this you can double click on the submit button (or right click and select actionPerformed event). I suggest you to read carefully what we used in the real estate project, it will help you a lot.

Bonne année. Tu dois maintenant à l'interieur de cet évènement créer une nouvelle instance de la classe en utilisant le constructeur, et ensuite tu appelles la méthide qui calcule le résultat. Regarde comment on a fait ca dans le projet Real Estate.

Fait un double clique sur le boutton Submit et il ouvre l'evenement action performed, la dessous tu ecris le code.

Elie, you deleted some critical sections of code from your project. I suggest you to delete the JFrame file and create a new one since the one you are using now is corrupted. Be careful next time.

Because you are not calling the method that should calculate the amount. Replace amountPane.setSelectionEnd(Nbkids); with amountPane.setText(String.valueOf(co.getAmount()));

In the getAmount() method, you should replace return 0 by return amount!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
