looper delay on low spec machines #1171

i am not sure but by default jamtaba saving loops to hard drive? if yes ,it is possible to save to ram? i testing jamtaba on windows tablet and i discovered some delay when i try to use looper. i am unable to make any loop on time.when i press record button loper is going to wait mode and waiting for that point when start recording. on my tablet in this point i get freeze jamtaba and after few seconds recording is started. i think that is something with the way how loops are saved. maybe some ram buffer can help

Hi @qulf , in the scenario you described nothing is saved in the hard disk. JamTaba will save in hard disk only when you press the save button in the up right corner of looper window.

I think this issue is related with the tablet audio or low CPU specs.

when i find more time i will perform more test. my procesor is Intel Atom x5-Z8350 @ 1.44GHz. https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Atom+x5-Z8350+%40+1.44GHz&id=2774 and i use external usb sound card. next time i try another sound card.
