Jamtaba has a great feature to "send audio almost in real time using very low quality" designed for "audio chat", but this currently requires the audio to be delivered via the currently selected "audio input" in Settings.
This may be fine for users with an audio interface with multiple inputs and an external microphone, but not for users with a simple audio interface and maybe a single input (e.g. Apogee Jam), or users without an external microphone (but with one built-in).
Today, users have to choose between the audio interface and the built-in mic in the "Audio input" popup menu. (see attached screenshot)
Would it be possible to take advantage of the built-in mic present on most laptops and use that built-in mic for the purpose of "almost live chat", without having to manually switch audio input?
Again, the idea is to enable a separate "audio chat" channel using a built-in microphone when available.
