In Linux world JACK is used a lot, and Jamtaba is ALSA only at moment. An user reported by email ALSA + JACK integration is not working too.

Just to comment, if I was still a Linux user,(the old days...) Jack would seriously be a very needed feature, adding a lot of flexibility to connect to other audio apps. Elieser, as a temporary workaround, did the other user try the jack alsa plugin? http://alsa.opensrc.org/Jack_(plugin) I remember using that alsa plugin with alsa apps that didnt have native jack support. I think I had managed to get audio out of chrome or firefox in linux to connect to jack with that plugin setting. Not really related, but I have ran jack for windows http://www.jackaudio.org/faq/jack_on_windows.html as an asio driver to interconnect apps like jamtaba standalone, reaper, vsthost and others with quite great performance.

I latest download I saw Jack supported. Doesn't really work, but this ticket should probably be closed and tickets for Jack connector bugs should be filed instead.

Can confirm that JACK is listed under audio input and output sources, but cannot connect to either with any success. I opened #1400 to report the issue, but it isn't much more specific than this longstanding issue.
