Footnote symbols linking authors to their info #19

Corresponding author always takes the * footnote. Remaining footnote symbols follow the order of : †, ‡, §, ‖, ¶

Order of footnotes (not all of these will always appear, so footnote symbol cannot be mapped direct to each footnote): These authors contributed equally to this work (can have multiples, each new group takes a new footnote symbol) Additional footnotes related to authors, one off occurrences. Example - These authors are listed in alphabetical order Present address (can have multiples, each new group takes a new footnote symbol) Deceased

Use unicode character entities in the xml.
