Datasets are referred to in the paper and hosted elsewhere. An author will either refer to datasets generated in the course of preparing the paper or that are already published.

These are distinguished by either being <p>The following datasets were generated:</p> (generated in the course of preparing the paper) OR <p>The following previously published dataset was used</p> (already published).

Each dataset cited is given an id "dataro" followed by a number (starting at 1)

Datasets may have been authored by authors of the existing paper, in which case they will be related to the dataset using an xref tag of the id in their contrib. See #21.

However, external authors may be authors of the dataset.

The dataset tagging is currently under review and is subject to change.

Tagging has been updated to reflect PMC requirements, but still under review pending outcomes of dataset recommendations.
