Hi @acollings, @FionaBryant - the reviews were posted to a preprint from July 26, 2021. Does this need updating to match the submission or is it OK in this instance?

Hi @fred-atherden all good in this case. The authors uploaded the 2021 preprint to eLife's site and also had this note in their letter: "We also acknowledge the long delay between the initial posting of this article on bioRxiv and today’s submission (> 2.5 years). This delay in submission has been due to several factors completely unrelated to science and we assert that this paper has never been submitted or reviewed at any other journal."
