Payments page: OK, I know you're going to work on adding an option to make an irregular payment. Right now you have two options: deposit or full amount. There needs to be a third option: "remaining balance" for people who have paid the deposit and now want to go and pay the rest. Then, a 4th option of "other amount." I wonder if we could eliminate all those choices and just have one button to push, "pay here." (Maybe there needs to be an interim page here that gives the 4 choices or maybe they can just fill in the amount they want to pay.) I'm hoping that they will be able to see the payments they have made in the past.
I like the idea of a separate payment page. Maybe with options: deposit, full amount, remaining balance and other (which can be anything). Sometimes people register for 2 weeks, then drop one and lose $30 so they have $70 to count towards their remaining week. They would have to pay an odd amount. Also, sometimes people pay (some or all) with a check. I have to have a way to add that in (credit their account). Sometimes I give a discount to someone who can't afford it (kinda like a scholarship).
Everything is potentially refundable (but I don't advertise that). So, there has to be flexibility in the system. Yes, I allow someone to pay less than $100 deposit if they aren't able to pay more. I want to have 3 different confirmation letters: one if they've paid in full; another if they pay an amount (at least $100, but less than full) and one if they paid between 0 and $99. I'm working on the wording for those now.
Also, some people pay by check or cash. I need to be able to enter an amount somewhere showing that they paid. Sometimes I give scholarships, so I charge people a reduced amount. Can there be a place where I can add in an amount paid or click paid in full if I’ve given a scholarship?
Some parents may register and only be able to pay $50. Then the next month, they may pay 80, and continue to make payments as they are able. Other parents may register for 8 weeks and make a $1200 payment. Later, they may pay another $1000. I just have to keep track and be able to figure out how many weeks they have registered for and how much they owe.
