Compiler failed but Output says pdf is written #211

I tried to compile an already extensive document with the default compiler.
There where some documents which the compiler could not grab from their 
subdirectory. After placing them in the same directory as the document, and 
linking to them with ./*.png the compilers output seems ok:

Output written on /home/fcf93cc830f598177797450796393bb9.pdf (17 pages, 608887 
bytes).

But no output is shown.
