What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Character Class Monk
2. Going down stairs from level 10 to 11 in ... dwarven mines? (I'm
sorry... I'm not that familiar with the game, but it's the place where
there are lots of dwarves and gnomes) 
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
A new dungeon level. A character generation screen.

There was no explanation as to why I died. The game quit, and when I
restarted it a character generation screen appeared...

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
iPod Touch 16GB. Software Version 3.0

are you useing the app store current ver? or the beta4? if the app store ver 
(1.0)
just sounds like a crash which was a problem in 1.0 but has since been fixed in 
the betas

Thank you very much! I'll try the latest beta version.

It does beg the question why the app store version wouldn't be the latest 
version
though... (unless they don't allow you to release beta versions...)

yah can't release betas, and no one would want to anyway. wait 4+ weeks for 
every
single beta build to get approved?! no thanks if it was that way it would take
atleast 5 more months for the game to be at the point it is now.

the latest build is submitted i believe, but now its just the weeks of waiting
