the automatic 'Name an item' dialog immediately obscures the message log #115

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. A monster throws an unidentified potion at you
2. You get a message which is a clue to what the potion is ('you feel
slightly dizzy' or similar)
3. However you don't get to read this message, because the auto-naming
dialog immediately blows away the whole screen. I'm talking about
http://nethack.wikia.com/wiki/Identification#Identification_with_a_prompt
4. You have no idea what to call the potion because you can't get back to
see the message

Fix would be either:
* Insert a 'pause' (hit OK) before opening the Naming dialog automatically
* Even better, don't use the whole screen for the dialog - just pop up in
the lower half of the screen (so you can still see messages).

This is Nethack 1.1.

This is why there is a show log button in the naming dialog. Please verify if 
this
solves your problem.
