Ability to turn off double-tab running #170

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago

1. Anytime you tap twice too quickly your character flies across the screen
2. Adjusting double tap sensitivity does little to alleviate this annoyance

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Could there be an option in Settings that turns off this feature? Hitting
shift - O in game and turning off travel mode does nothing.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

iPhone OS 3.1.3

This should probably be considered as an enhancement issue, my apologies.

No worries, for some reason it's not possible to input enhancement requests so
I'm used to changing labels :)

This is what I dislike most about inethack. Please fix this!

What is the actual issue here, the inadvertent double tap or that the char
moves so fast?

In my opinion it's the inadvertent double tap, speed isnt so much the issue
since I'm
used to that with the shift+_ travelling on desktop builds. Also, I'm not
really sure
how the sensitivity slider affects the double tap, if it's at its max does that
mean
you are supposed to tap quicker to make it work? Doesn't really seem to affect
it
much... Thanks again for responding!

It's the fraction of 1.0s, with 0.0 and 1.0 disabling it (pretty much letting
the system handle it). You have to
double tap in that timespan to get a double tap. Small values (like 0.2) mean
you have to tap really fast for a
double tap.
