The pet is a special glyph that should be marked as such.

There is commented-out code (r57) which puts a box around pets, but it's ugly. 
What's
needed is an artist who can provide a 40x40 heart bitmap with transparent 
background

I can whip that up if you'd like, since I did do a fair amount of my own 
graphics in RT, blended to match other 
public domain works. I should have time tonight or in the morning to make a 
good one...

It's in r66, with that plate it's become very hard to overlook a pet :)

After playing a *lot* the "I wuv you!" plate becomes very very big. I'm missing
seeing 'd' and 'f' :)
