Not Gaining exp #87

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Started Valkyrie character.  
2. Kill things.  
3. No xp gain  

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect my xp score to go up, instead it stays at 1

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I'm not sure which version I'm using but os is 3.0

Please provide any additional information below.

Exp on the UI means your lvl, and individual xp that is not displayed

Yes it's the vanilla NetHack showexp option ... First value is experience level,
second is current xp points.
