Font size issue #89

When playing landscape, the text font is larger and can completely obscure
the screen.  In addition, it will go off the screen so I can't see all of
the messages.

I don't know a good answer for this -- I can go to the log to see the
messages I miss, and pick something to cause the screen to refresh, but it
seems kludgy.

I've changed the behavior in r211. If you visit the log (and that's what you do 
if
your screen gets filled up) the visible messages are erased on return.
