game crashes at loading screen #540

woodside apt, enterance to 3f (after clock riddle, before meeting pyramid head)

game is trying to load for few sec and then suddenly crashes. is there any fix or do i have to reinstall base game/ee? d3d8.log

Typically, in situations where the game is consistently crashing at a seemingly random spot, this is due to a bad install of the base game. I'd recommend redownloading the base game. The copy of the game you get will play a big role in its overall success. (i.e. don't download it from a sketchy site)

You can download a copy from MyAbandonware. You'd want to download the "fully extracted version."

well i downloaded the base game from this site, so i guess that is just a bad luck, gonna reinstall it anyway
