I think this should only be done in the R code and not the shiny app. But it would be nice to have the ability to provide a customized scoring function, while maintaining backwards compatibility with the bonus.round, bonus.seed, and bonus.combine arguments currently available. I am thinking we could accept a function that defaults to the current score.bracket, but could do its own custom scoring.
