CNAME file with elite-se.xyz Domain may only exist once on GitHub: https://help.github.com/en/github/working-with-github-pages/troubleshooting-custom-domains-and-github-pages

I believe the github pages repository is cleared on every deploy, so we have to copy the CNAME and LICENSE file from this repository. We could move both files into a subdirectory.
