Awesome sample here! <3 More and more I'm using Content Elements on things -- possible to add CE support to this too?

Ha, funny you should ask! I created this template for a talk I gave at the Portland EE Meetup last week, and during the talk I mentioned that no one should ever save fieldtype data as serialized arrays, or you will personally track them down and yell at them. :) And then later I explained that I don't use Content Elements because it saves everything as a serialized array, and so I don't trust it. Haha.

Anyway, this is definitely a work in progress and I can look into adding CE support. I have a few other things I want to add soon as well, when I get a chance. Of course if you've added CE support to other fieldtypes and know how it works, you're welcome to submit a pull-request. Otherwise I will just go off their documentation.

Yah, I'm not at all happy about the fact that the addon saves shit as serialized arrays, but it's SUPER useful so i put up with it. :) And i'm flattered that i made that much of an impression on you!

I haven't implemented anything complicated in CE but i'll maybe submit a pull request anyway.

It worked too! I haven't saved serialized arrays to a database since....

I should probably give CE another try. I've mostly just switched to Craft for projects that need that kind of setup though.

Yeah, i'd love to switch pretty well entirely to Craft myself, but I've got a lot of clients who are dev shops still fairly wedded to EE. So i'm still working on best practices and newer better ways to do things there, too, as much as I can! :)
