Use the Worksheet to select your 3 top Name Candidates, and ensure that they have the following 3 attributes: (1) they evoke the qualities of your business, (2) they can be spelled phonetically, and (3) they have a .com or .co domain name available. Write 1 paragraph on why you like each of the 3 Name Candidates.

My top 3 name candidates are Tipply, Tippster, and Tipstaff. I've decided to go with Tipply even though the .com and .co domains are not available. The .com and .co domains are not available for any of my top eight name choices except for a variation of Tipply – Tpply. I don't think Tppy is a good substitute – it's difficult to pronounced without the "i" and can't be spelled phonetically. The only advantage Tpply has is that the Twitter handle and Facebook username are available.

Tippster does have the .cc domain available, as well as the main social media usernames, but the name did not score well on the naming worksheet. The extra "p" in the name makes it have less credibility; it looks a little flighty. Tipstaff has the .cc domain available and the social media handles, but it's boring and lacking in any pizzaz.

Tipply is the name that best conveys the app's functions and purpose. It's a portmanteau of "tip" (as in "here's a tip about a great employee to hire!") and "apply." It's peppy, positive, can be spelled and pronounced easily, and is memorable. The trademark is available, and the .cc domain has been purchased.
