macOS / Linux updates, amongst others #21

This is a PR designed to merge all the macOS and Linux changes since the last merge, including (but not limited to):

  1. Updates to the MRI bindings to provide better cross-platform compatibility (Windows version would need a rebuild to work with updated map files)
  2. Updates to several packages
  3. A merge of Ancurio's MKXP changes
  4. Adding additional localization for Unix journal
  5. Preference towards Qmake for macOS / Linux
