The key path spending of to_local outputs is not secure, right? Given that both parties know the private key of this public key(it is an old state), than they will both try to spend it, and arise a tx fee competition. Am I wrong?

Hi @editor-Ajian, that is incorrect but a common misconception: Both parties do not know the private key of the revocation pub key. I wrote about this in depth in this article.

Hell Elle, thanks very much. I jump into the proposal you linked in this post and find the same revocation pubkey. It make me think that it must my wrong. So I read BOLT-3 to find the answer. I get it now. (Yes, it is pretty better than a remote pubkey + a hash lock construction, which is usually used in non-technical posts for educational purpose.)

Heads up @editor-Ajian - I have updated the article today to reflect the latest changes in the Spec PR. This commit will show you all the changes. Note that many of the diagrams have changed.

I dont predict any other major changes to the spec PR 🤞 so hopefully this is the last major update!
