Missing buttons in Ubuntu 10.04 lucid #270

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

The default theme for the Ubuntu 10.04, released last week, is Ambience.
Using this theme, at least on my nVidia card, causes the last icon in each
tool bar to disappear.

Switching the control property of the ubuntu theme resolves the problem.
This is a reasonable work-around but this is the default theme so many
users are likely to experience it.

Screenshots of ambience unmodified and with the control property set to
'Clearlooks'

I will get to fix this properly eventually but there is a workaround that Dan
told me
for this. If you use the 'Window->Set Toolbars Left' menu option and then drag
each
toolbar back up to the top, it displays correctly. It also saves your manually
arranged toolbars so that it remains correct from then on.

If you use the 'Windows->Reset Layout' option it will display poorly again.

Leave this open and I will get to it.

The problem still persists in Ubuntu 11.04. I also see segfaults when
resetting layout or setting toolbars left (not always for either but
frequently) Another workaround is to open the options panel and under the
'view options' node find the 'tool icon size' Set this to a smaller value and
you'll see the icons resize and the missing ones appear. Reset it to a larger
size and the toolbars will resize to include the missing icons.

Is this issue still relevant ?
Please try with a fresh install of libarea and heekscad.
