Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a cylindrical pocket in a cylinder
2. (optional) split in two halves.
3. Create a sketch from the face(s)
4. Create A machine pocket operation

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Tool-paths to remain in the area of material removal

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.18, Windows 7 32/64 and Ubuntu 11.10

Please provide any additional information below.
Creating a circular pocket in a cylinder results in the tool path exiting the
side of the object and traveling far out side the pocketed material.

Hello,

I notice the same issue too. Below is my email to heekscad-users mailing list
regarding this.

Hello,

I am noticing similar behaviour as noted here
http://code.google.com/p/heekscnc/issues/detail?id=324

The tool path exits out of the material into a big circular motion.

I am attaching the .heeks file, python code generated and the gcode generated.

Please let me know if you need more details.

I am on linux (crux distro) and with the latest git version of heekscad.

Thanks

I've had the same problem trying to do a circular pocket operation. It is
interesting to note that i do not have this problem when i set the nc output to
milimeters
