I closed the other pull request because it was a mess. I shortened the code, so hopefully it's a little bit more readable now.

I think this works pretty well now. I tried to clean it up to make it more readable, but let me know if you have questions.

Also, my editor uses different indentation than the base code, so ignore any changes in the base code functions.
