Suggestion : In general, all the elements (texts, icons, buttons, nodes) can be reduced while being still readable / usable. This would make for a more "aerated" and efficient interface.

after using for a while i think i agree that there could be more space available. however, note that most patches are only a handful of nodes right now, and i don't want to go through 're-balancing' everything for visual style

partly my fault for using high res displays on 100% scaling (and not great high-dpi options with oF/glfw)
