@itchyshin an update about the studies with estimates and SE: All except one have continuous post-copulatory trait values on siring success. The other one has two groups (assumed balanced sample size). One study, the estimate and SE need to be coined.

@itchyshin I have checked the papers that report F stats to see if it is clear what direction the effect is. Most of these are not clear as the effects were non-significant so the authors just report the test stat and p-value. What is our best course of action for these?

@elmacartney - you will need to write to authors asking for raw data or some descriptive statistics with which you can figure out sign - I think you will need to explain what you are doing - it is all good and many should reply if papers are not too old
