Wrap International fonts on time line view #86

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
the wrap text on the time line works great with english, but for other
language like chinese or japanese the message doesn't seem to be wrap
properly, instead some letters are out of the screen.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Please provide any additional information below.

What version are you using? I thought I fixed this with v.55.

just curious about this case, as i'm a user in HK most of my friends use
chinese on
twitter. i always needed to use the detailed view to see the whole message from
them.

i know you guys are working hard on this, thanks a lot to you all!

I kind of thought it was fixed. Is it still an issue where 1 or two characters
are
cut off?

In the meantime, you can turn off "clickable links" in the settings to allow a
more
traditional word-wrapping scheme.

it wasn't, sometimes the word wrap works but if it doesn't then it's like what
you
said, 1 or 2 characters are cut off.

i've turn off the 'clickable links' & i'll let you know if it helps on this,
thanks.

after sometime with the 'clickable links' turned off, the text wrapping seems
to work
properly.
i'm able to see my friend's chinese messages in the time line view without
missing 1
or 2 characters.
