I tried it after disabling the the portion of SPB phone suite that handles
notifications (basically just user defined profiles) in case that was causing a
conflict/problem but the issue still exists. It did not vibrate.
Thanks

Not sure what the problem could be. Vibrate is working well for me with WM
6.1.
I'll keep looking though...

Did a hard reset and only installed Pocktwit. Still no vibrate on new message
arrival. Everything under Config settings is set up. Notifications work, but
it
will not vibrate. Is there anything I could possibly be missing?

I don't know. Vibration/Notification only works when the app is running in the
background. The only other thing I can think of is the possibility that device
has
something special about the way it handles vibration :/

I guess that is possible. The app is running in the background, and like I
mentioned
before, the notifications are working (pop-ups and taskbar icon) but it never
vibrates or beeps. If anyone else is using an i760 maybe they can shed some
light on
how it works on theirs.
Thanks for the prompt responses.

I have the exact same problem on my HTC TyTN II. Stock WM6.0 rom.
The icon will show up on the top bar and the left soft key will bring up the
notification.. All appears to work just fine. However the device NEVER wakes
up to
beep or vibrate.
Reported here: http://code.google.com/p/pocketwit/issues/detail?id=91
Is it ok if i just hit the ok hardware button to put the app into the
background, or
just run another app or do i have to actually use the "minimize" option from the
right slide menu to make the beeps work?
Maybe that is what i am doing wrong?
If the device is on the notifications work fine, sound and all. If it is
asleep,
nothing. It updates and displays the notification I just never know about it
until
the next time i power my device on.
The other interesting note: If I get a new twitter while the phone is off, the
next
calendar reminder or txt message/email i hear the sound i have defined to play
for
pocketwit at the same time as the other notification sound.

Is this still a problem for people? It should have been fixed some time ago
and is
working fine on my machine.

Yes, on my Samsung SCH-i760 WM6.1 v.BJ10 ROM (latest) I am not getting vibrate
notifications even though the box is checked for both PockeTwit events. I have
never
gotten vibrate notifications and been using PockeTwit since v6.0. The light
does not
flash either but the option is unchecked and disabled (grayed out) for both
events so
I would not expect to.
I do get sound and message notifications just fine whether the device is
powered on
or in sleep mode.

On my WM 6.1 Samsung Omnia i910, I don't get vibrate or audio notifications
when
PockeTwit is installed. Furthermore, the Sound and Notifications applet fails
to
close. Attempts to close the applet cause the progress wheel to appear and the
applet
restarts ad nauseam. Uninstall PockeTwit, all problems go away. This software
is
extremely cool, but as badly as I want to use it, I can't until this behavior
goes
away.
