5 years ago Hi Frank -- sorry it's not working for you. Unfortunately an older version won't help as Quora's site keeps changing, and the extension needs to be up-to-date to work at all with the latest layout.
I was trying to reproduce your problem and was not able to. I was able to download 600 answers associated with https://www.quora.com/profile/Frank-Murphy-7 without problems; if you want, I'd be happy to send you the result (just email me at eloquence AT gmail DOT com).
To fix the problem, it would help to know more details:
- Can you tell me the extension version, shown in chrome://extensions ?
- Does the problem happen when you start on https://www.quora.com/ ?
- How about when you start on https://www.quora.com/profile/Frank-Murphy-7/answers ?
I have used this extension twice before... both times in August of 2018. Worked beautifully. The download was just under a MB.
I have run it several times in the last 2 days on several mac machines including a 2019 27" iMac with 40 GB RAM running the latest version of Mojave; but, I've run it on another iMac running an earlier version of MacOS and a MacBook Pro... all of them produce the same problem...
The web page refreshes in the background (behind the dialogue box) over and over and over for hours...
Activity Monitor shows over 1 GB of Google Chrome Helper download but even though I only have 715 answers... I get nothing on your website. I even parked the cursor up in the right corner so the screen save couldn't activate, interrupting the process (doing anything makes the freeyourstuff.cc dialogue box go away.)
I see it was recently updated. Can I get an older version. Last year IMG_4842.MOV.zip
it was perfect....
