If possible, can you add an unread count for Google voice?

Essential for Google's flagship text messaging app to be supported

I would love to see this made available. I've gone all-in on Google Voice since
buying my Nexus 4 and hopping on the T-Mobile $30/month plan. I'm willing to
get my hands dirty with coding if it makes a difference.

This is a must for me as I don't use the built in SMS app at all.

probably won't find official support for it considering there isn't an official
API for Google Voice. Of course, a third party extension is entirely plausible.

Please add this extension. I know of many users who use Google Voice in lieu of
SMS. The addition of this extension would make DashClock Widget perfect!

provide you that extension. But I haven't yet :/

I'm no coder, but ADW Notifier manages to do it in conjunction with widget
locker. Is the problem a different issue?

Third-party developers can build extensions for this (some are already
available). There won't be built-in extensions for this.
