Calendar does not show all day events.
Option to show all day event pls

Also if event goes for 5 days, show one entry instead of showing 5 entries

This causes all my contact birthdays to go missing from the widget. Please add
this much needed feature.

Like a scheduled event like a paycheck coming up? Would that qualify as an all
day event in goog calendar? Just want to make sure we are on the same page on
this request.

When you enter an event in Google calendar and you click "All day event"

That means an event happens on that day. But with no specific time. Like a
birthday.

A normal event would be a birthday party at 3pm.

Clear?

I think the priority of this bug should be higher than "medium".
I have 2 important events this week ( a birthday and an insurance renewal)
which are "all day" events - so not shown by Dashclock!
I have to rely on another app ("Business Calendar") to show & remind me of
all-day events.
If I can't rely on the Dashclock calendar it makes it useless.

So High priority for this fix, please.

Galaxy Nexus 4.2.2
DashClock 1.4.1

I have two calendars enabled (Main and Contact birthdays). Lookahead is set to
1 week. Today is Monday.

My Main calendar has an event at 10am Saturday this week and my Contact
birthdays calendar has a birthday at Tuesday the same week.

When both calendars are enabled, the Sat event is shown.
When only Contact birthdays calendar is enabled, the Tue birthday event is
shown.

I would expect the birthday, due Tue (before the next Main calendar event on
Sat) to show up.

@reg.voidspam ah, that sounds like a legitimate bug, I'll need to look into it.
Thanks for the very descriptive explanation.

@nghj84 are you using DashClock on the lock screen or home screen? There's a
known issue with the home screen widget not updating. It'll be fixed in 1.4.2.
Either way, let me try out that scenario and see if there's a different bug
there.

i'm using the widget on the lockscreen. i tried the time settings, yesterday's
event reamined till 7.59am, upcoming event appears at 8am. but another thing to
note is that those events are on different calendars.

I think I see the problem. Will post a test build soon.

The attached test build didn't fix the behaviour report in #15 for me.

@reg.voidspam which timezone are you in?

Original comment by roman.nurik on 5 Mar 2013 at 11:43

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
I'm in UTC+1. Same behaviour observed when I tested the build last night.

If this would make any difference, last night (Tue) the birthday event was
"running", i.e. on that exact day as opposed to in the future.

Furthermore, I checked the birthday entry and it does not contain any year
(only day/month) if that has any impact.

I made some tweaks to calendar logic in 1.4.3, hopefully it'll alleviate that
issue. If not, may be time to file a new bug :-)
