EZQuake is probably one of the best looking versions of Quake and has many 
other features..
Any chance to include the EZQuake patch in the future?

Keep in mind that he can't just -switch- over to it; he'd have to basically 
re-write
everything from scratch if he were to do this.

This is very, very low priority. But, since there are almost no vanilla quake 
servers
active anymore, quakeworld support will be necessary when we have network 
support.
