Does this mean that a generated town could potentially show up with a single shop that is only one weapon or armor type? Would that be a problem? Would it also generate a Walmart-style shop that has a mix of everything? Does it matter?
My initial thought is that it would just be a curious town, and depending on what kind of shop popped up, it could be great. (Hey, this place has a Barnes & Nobles!) Since we have rules to CraigsList any item we can dream up, anyway, it seems the stores are not a critical component, but extra play-spice and convenience. I open the point for discussion. :)
A randomly generated town will always have one general store, and then zero or more specialty stores (now including these specialty weapons shops) depending on the size and the roll.
Another new store type in Guilderland is a weapon store featuring only ax/mace/hammer weapons. Here, the
SpecificWeaponStore
can take a style of weapon at initialization (or randomize from allMundaneWeapon
types), and only weapons of that style will be stocked.
