Extension automatically uninstalled and unable to re-install #14

I had a notification about an update to the extension a day or two ago, so I updated it and the panel of icons disappeared from the top toolbar. I checked my extensions in Tweak tool and saw the extension was installed anymore. I tried to enable the extension from https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/1064/system-monitor/, but it just switches back to "off" automatically.

Sorry mate, if the extension is uninstalled automatically, I don't think it's the extension's fault. Actually the whole install process is done by the Gnome Extensions component. So please report this problem upstream.

I guess a reboot or restarting the Gnome session will make fix this.

I have seen this too for several gnome-shell extensions. It's not the fault of gnome-shell-extension-system-monitor, but of some upstream code (gnome-shell).

I can reproduce this issue. I had to log out and log in again (i.e. restart gnome-shell) to make this issue go away. I get this message on dbus-monitor: Error: Type name Gjs_Icon is already registered.
