Once the code works I'll look into optimizing various parts of the codebase.

• [ ] Reuse computations wherever possible.
• [ ] Use object references wherever possible.
• [ ] Mark variables as const wherever possible.
• [ ] Look into explicit move construction.
• [ ] Parallelize code.
  • [ ] Remove data dependencies between iterations of loops.
