Character Portrait: crop and zoom within Optolyth would be incredibly nice #52

It's slightly inconvenient that a portrait has to be square. It would be nice - but no priority in any way - if cropping and zooming would be possible within Optolyth.

Acutally, it does not need to be square. It will be centered to fill out the square, though. On character sheet, it's a rectangle, too, where the image is scaled to fit the rectangle. I have no experience with editing photos at all, so it would take a while to implement. So – as you said – it's low priority.

That's odd. I tried to load many pictures, but it never worked, unless if I cropped it to be a square. The accept button always was black. Are there other requirements then, that by accident worked out?

The only restriction is the file type: It can only be a .png, .jpeg or .jpg. There's no file size or image size or image aspect ratio restrictions.
